How to use Google AdSense with an RSS feed
By Rhysjc
Google AdSense is a great tool which allows you to place Google's ads on your website, and make money for every click you recieve. There are many diferent ways of displaying AdSense ads, such as simply placing them on your website or adding them to your mobile content. One way it can be done is by adding them to your RSS feed. This is what I will be discussing in this tutorial hub. Adding AdSense to your RSS feed is a good idea as it means your ads will get regular views and will be relevant to the viewers interests.
Step One:
For this, you'll need an RSS feed. If you're a member here on HubPages, go to your profile and click "Suscribe to ......'s RSS feed". This will take you directly to your RSS feed. This is where all your articles are displayed as soon as they're published. Copy the link from the URL and make a note of it for later. For the purposes of this tutorial, we'll be using my RSS Feed.
Step Two:
Now you need to go on over to AdSense. Sign Up, or Log In if you already have an account, then hit the "AdSense Setup" tab and click on "AdSense for Feeds". Change the settings to suit you, but I suggest leaving them as they are. Then click "Burn new feed" at the bottom of the page. Then just enter the RSS you want to add ads to. Now just click "next" a few times, not changing any settings. Then just hit save at the bottom of the page.
Step Three:
Now go to "AdSense Setup" again and then click "Manage Ads". Your newly made AdSense RSS Feed should have a row, click on the name of your RSS Feed to open it up, then copy the URL and save it somewhere. This is your new RSS Feed with AdSense!
