Halloween is great! It's the time of year when there's candy all round, people dressed up like idiots and lots of happy memories. All this is great, but where can you enjoy all of these things at the same time? There are loads of events all around the world where you can scare yourself silly, or just have some fun. If you're alone, with friends, family, or both then there will definitely be something for you in this hub!

Haunted houses, halloween theme parks, spooky tours, ghost hunts and haunted hotels are what I think are the most popular events at halloween. I've found a load of these attractions from the USA & England for everyone to enjoy. If you have any other events that you'd like to suggest, please feel free to list them in the comments section.

Haunted Houses

Well, we all love a good haunted house! These can be found all over the place at fun fairs and amusement parks, but since it's Halloween you're going to want something a bit more specific and spooky. If you don't know what a haunted house is, it's basically a house that is normally pitch black. You then go in and have things jump out at you, tap you on the back, stroke your arm and worst of all...drop gunge on you. Although reading it might not sound that scary, in reality it really is. It's great for people of all ages and will be a great addition to your halloween. Below I've listed some of the best haunted houses I've found:

Theme Parks

Halloween theme parks are either open all year round or only for a few weeks around Halloween. They often have many scary rides, ranging from crazy rollercoasters to haunted houses(see above). Many theme parks around the USA & England run special events at Halloween. Some stay open until late at night in order to give you the best experience, and others even open up new rides. If you want to to attend a halloween event at a theme park, take a look at the website of one near you, or check out some of these:

Ghost Hunts & Tours (Ghost Walks)

I've put these two in to one catagorey as they often come together. In most cases, you'll be taken on a walk around a castle or some other spooky setting, and will either actuall search for ghosts or your tour guide will be an actor. Either way, this is great fun for everyone and if you believe in the paranormal, this is a great one for you. There are a large range of ghost hunts and tours available at Halloween, and it's just the case of finding one near you that is in budget, and VERY scary. I wont give you any suggestions for these as there are countless numbers of them and they operate in a very small area.

Haunted Hotels

Now this is one for the real halloween fanatics. There are loads of oppurtunities to stay at hotels which are supposedly haunted. Some will include a tour of the hotel and it's grounds, and the staff will do everything possible to scare you silly. If you're an all year round ghost hunter, or just someone who believes in ghosts, then this is the one for you. Some haunted hotels are located in rural areas that have many different places which are said to be haunted. A few of these are listed below:
